Personal Challenges Exist
Read Time: 1 mins 21 secs
Starting a business isn’t just about milestones or data. It’s also about personal battles - the ones you don’t talk about on X, LinkedIn, or social events but face daily.
Almost two years ago, I had a car accident. One I’m still healing from. Even now basic thinking and mood regulation is a daily battle. This Monday, I learned I need two MORE doctors for my recovery. I’m exhausted and some days I seriously debate starting a business.
I don’t share that for sympathy or pity. This is to open up a real conversation. In hopes me being vulnerable might encourage you to be with yourself. So you can be transparent about your tough moments just as much as your successes.
What is weighing you down in your personal life that might be spilling into your business? Are you beating yourself up for things not going as planned because you have unforeseen circumstances splitting your time or focus?
I don’t think we give ourselves enough credit for staying in the game. Starting a business or building on an idea is hard. Life, sometimes, doesn’t play fair either.
No magic solution or mindset hack this week. Instead I have a request.
acknowledge your current circumstance
your current barriers giving you a hard time
the real steps you are taking to change them
Despite everything, you haven’t quit on yourself or your vision.
Some days aren’t going to feel like a win. You have real problems and I’m not here to sell positivity.
I’m just here in your inbox today to remind you of one (probable) truth:
Odds are someone out there quit on their business today. You woke up and chose to work to turn your idea into something tangible.
You show up even when it’s hard.
Acknowledging the hard days isn't weakness—it’s real. It’s what you do every day. You face the good, the bad, and the messy. And keep moving.
