reflection on setbacks and commitment.

Today’s issue: She reflects on setbacks and commitment.

I almost skipped this week's newsletter because, surprise surprise, life got in the way. With the financial pressures and anxiety to build a cashflow business and basic maintenance and this newsletter fell down the priority list.

Funny how that works, isn’t it? How we prioritize and justify our choices. It’s like a daily dance of excuses and ‘logical’ choices.

We somehow manage to cherry-pick what we decide is important and conjure up excuses for the rest. Let me ask you something,

what's your daily selection process like? What do you prioritize, and what excuses do you feed yourself?

No seriously, I’d love to hear your answers.

For me, you are reading this because of three commitments: to you, to myself, and a refusal to make excuses.

Plus, just because I’m figuring out what I’m doing doesn’t mean you should be penalized and get my mental leftovers because of it.

So instead of some long-winded apology or elaborate justification. Here’s the CliffNotes summary of my week and the lessons I learned.

My week: I’ll be honest, it was rough. Every idea I tossed out there crashed and burned during the validation phase amplifying the voice that says, "you can't help anybody." However the support of badass people and the belief in my purpose keeps me going. All I need is ONE problem to tackle and solve.

The lessons:

  1. Not every idea is a winner but you only need one that solves a real not fabricated problem.

  2. Although my struggles are nobody’s responsibility, when you have good people around, they make themselves available when you need help.

And in case you blinked and missed it, this weeks question is in bold above. (Thought I’d spice it up).

Bottomline: Life throws its fair share of curveballs, but I'm still here, trying to wring every last drop of 'juice' out of those metaphorical lemons.

P.S. If you’ve got ideas on how I can help you, I'm open to suggestions!

P.S.S. Keep your eyes peeled, there might just be a second email making its debut this week. (Okay, I’m done with the lemon puns).
